Kaitlyn Kay was born to this world, Wednesday December 2.
Her birth was short, like the past 3, however, just like the others, there was a small complication (or 2-3) We were sent home 2 times before for not being in active labor. Finally, after seeing my OB on Wednesday am, we were admitted and on our way! Water was broken around 130pm-found that she had meconium (fetus poop inside the womb, complication #1) epidural soon followed, however it didn't completely work, ( complication #2) we got that fixed by giving me some lidocaine 2%, began to push, her head came out, cord around her neck (complication #3, however we believe this happened as she was turning so the cord wasn't wrapped around her neck too long) then the OB said that Kaitlyn's shoulders were stuck on my pelvis (complication #4) my labor and delivery nurses jumped on my bed and had all their weight on my tummy trying to help get her out. 521pm, we welcomed our baby girl into this world.
Daddy was smitten for the moment he saw her.
The older kids were taken care of by our sweet, caring friends. Our friend Cyndy took the younger 2 (on top of caring for her own 3) and our friends the Winslows took the older 2. When it came time to pick the kids up, none of them wanted to come home! They wanted to stay at their friends' houses and play some more....shows how well they were cared for, and loved!
We couldn't have asked for better friends to leave our kids with. Knowing our kids were taken care of left us able to deliver Kaitlyn without any added worries! Thank you just isn't enough!

Aw Steph! She's just beautiful!! Glad none of the complications led to anything more serious but wow... your kiddos sure know how to make an entrance don't they? ;)
So glad you had such good friends there already to help with the older kids! I know what a weight off your mind that must have been to know they were happy and well cared for while you were otherwise engaged.
Congratulations! and in case I didn't tell you, love her sweet name!
