She's Allergic To What?!

Our battle continues for Evelyn.

We've heard it before, 'she has dry skin' 'she has atopic dermatitis' from there it has been a trial and error game of finding the right lotion that not only soothes her skin, but doesn't burn her either.

It wasn't until we came to Fla and we had a wonderful, caring Dr treat her. He looked at her and suggested we take some blood for a food allergy test.

Milk, egg white, egg yolk, peanut, soy, seafood, food coloring/dye.

STUNNED. I couldn't believe my ears. While we've been down the food allergy road before, we have never gone this extreme with food allergies.

It has been one week since eliminating the foods she's allergic to from her diet. While it hasn't been easy to say no when she'd like a certain food, and it continues to be a struggle to give her meds and lotion her up, I'm happy to say that we believe we can see a difference in her skin.

Poor girl has had a rough road while in Fla. Hives, Dr visits, blood drawn, and benedryll-through it all she was stronger then I ever could be. She definetly isn't out of the woods yet as far as food goes, so let's just hope we keep it up!
